Mong Kok SIM City – Camera Enthusiasts’ Mall

Located at the intersection of Nathan Road and Shandong Street, Mong Kok SIM City is a must-visit for camera enthusiasts. Turn right from Exit E of Mong Kok MTR Station and walk one block to reach SIM City.

The entrance of SIM City may not be big enough, but you can find it by looking at the cross street of King Wah Center from Nathan Road.

Although SIM City has only three floors, it is a densely populated camera sales point. The stores are various, and they provides tourists or local photography enthusiasts with a large selection of new cameras, second-hand cameras, camera bags, tripods, stabilizers, camera straps, and a small number of computers and watches. There are many tourists on weekdays, and it will feel very crowded. If you are a “camera enthusiast”, you must come in and take a look.

What they sell

The products offered are slightly different on the three floors:

Camera backpacks, wrist straps, and lenses are mostly on the third floor. There are also shops selling used camera lenses, watches, and game software.

The shops on the second floor mainly sell tripods, used lenses, cameras, drones, memory cards, etc.

The first floor sells secondhand cameras and lenses; they also buy and sell cameras. As well, there are a few computer supplies.

If you want to sell a camera, you can also go here since several stores would buy your cameras or lens.

Overall, besides regular digital cameras and SLR cameras, there are many instant cameras here, as well as colorful camera cases and film with cartoon characters, priced from several hundred to over a thousand dollars.

Why is SIM City so popular because it’s a hub for small camera shops. It’s easy to find used lenses and accessories, and there are many brands available.

While there are camera shops in Sham Shui Po, they mostly sell new models, and second hand cameras at the street stalls.

SIM City, this small market in Mong Kok, has become the place to trade cameras and parts as it gathers most sorts of stores in one area bringing about convenience.

King Wah Center

The King Wah Center next to SIM City is a department store, also with three floors. The goods are mostly men’s and women’s clothing, travel supplies, mattresses, pillows and other supplies.
