Hong Kong Peak Tram Station and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum are located between Admiralty MTR Station and Central MTR Station.

If you start from Admiralty MTR Station, you need to pass Cotton Tree Drive. If you find Hong Kong Park and Squash Centre, you are almost getting there. It takes about ten minutes to walk and walk up a slope. Starting from Central MTR Station, pass Queen’s Road Central and walk to the garden of Cheung Kong Center. The distance is about the same. If you walk from Statue Square in Central, exit J or K of the MTR station, walk past the HSBC Building and head up the slope. It’s about ten minutes to the Peak Tram Station.

Yesterday the typhoon signal was No. 3 (today is the No.10 typhoon signal). The weather was very hot and the air pressure was low. Tourists were still enthusiastic and tried to visit before the big storm came. It was not easy to walk uphill and wait outside to buy the tram ticket. Yet, there were still many people queuing in front of the Hong Kong Peak Tram Station and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum ticket office, and each cable car was full of people.
The wait isn’t too long, especially if the line is only near the entrance, as you only need to wait one or two trams.

Unless you’re looking for an unobstructed photo spot, you don’t necessarily need to purchase a ticket to access the observation deck. The reason is admission to the third floor of the mall is free, but the crowds can make it difficult to find a suitable spot.

You can choose to purchase tickets for the wax museum upon arrival.

Shopping Mall at the Peak
Atop the mountain is a three-story shopping mall featuring restaurants, clothing stores, convenience stores, and travel souvenir shops. It’s crucial to have air conditioning, as even at the summit, the temperature can be quite high and the sun can be intense. McDonald’s is a great place to relax, but there’s not enough seating. Find a seat before buying food, as there’s no extra seating in the mall.

Other Transportation Options:
In addition to the Peak Tram, other transportation options are available, including buses and minibuses.
For example, when descending the mountain, there’s the X15 bus that goes to the Central MTR Station. The fare is approximately $17, making it very convenient.
In fact, you can also see the whole of Hong Kong from the bus descent, which is a completely different experience.
